OFF CAMERA ENTERTAINMENT is a production company launched in 2018 from the partnership of Stephanie Slack & Margret H. Huddleston, two former corporate entertainment executives with a shared love of movies and travel. The first film they developed and produced under this shingle was the Netflix original Dangerous Lies, nominated for two People’s Choice Awards including Best Drama Movie of 2020. They went on to produce Netflix’s highly successful romantic comedy Love Guaranteed, directed by Mark Steven Johnson and starring Rachel Leigh Cook and Damon Wayans Jr., Love in the Villa, directed by Mark Steven Johnson and starring Kat Graham and Tom Hopper which they shot in Verona, Italy and launched on Netflix in Sept 2022 as well as The Noel Diary directed by Charles Shyer and starring Justin Hartley and Barrett Doss which launched Thanksgiving 2022. They are also executive producers along with Norman Lear on Juan Pablo di Pace’s directorial debut Duino, shot in Italy and Argentina and set to release in 2024.

OCE has developed and produced original movies for Lifetime direct by Brian Herzlinger including Twinkle All the Way, starring Sarah Drew and Ryan McPartlin (2019), A Christmas Dance Reunion, starring Monique Coleman and Corbin Bleu (2020), The Holiday Fix Up, starring Jana Kramer and Ryan McPartlin (2021) and Reindeer Games Homecoming, starring Sara Drew and Justin Bruening (2022) which OCE developed with first time screenwriter, Sarah Drew.

They also produced Paramount Network’s first original movie, an LGBTQ+ oriented Christmas movie Dashing in December, directed by Jake Helgren, starring Juan Pablo Di Pace, Peter Porte, Andie MacDowell, and Caroline Harris which was nominated for GLAAD Media Award’s Outstanding TV movie of 2021. They followed that up with A Nashville Country Christmas directed by Ashley Williams and starring country artist Tanya Tucker in her acting debut, as well as Keith Carradine, which aired on Paramount Network and CMT in 2022.

Stephanie Slack is a producer and content distribution specialist. Before going independent, she headed up the Co-Production and Acquisitions department at MarVista Entertainment for 8 years and was an original member of the executive strategy team.  During that time, she executive produced 30+ projects including films in Colombia, Brazil, Australia and the U.K. Prior to joining MarVista, Slack served as VP, TV Distribution for 20th Century Fox where she launched the scripted format business. Prior to her studio tenure, Stephanie headed up the Worldwide Sales division for PorchLight Entertainment. A travel lover with a business degree from l’Ecole Européen des Affairs in Paris, Stephanie now lives in Venice Beach, California with her family. 

Margret H. Huddleston, originally from Norway, got her start in international production working on the Emmy-winning miniseries The Path to 9/11 and the Fox/Walden feature The Seeker, as well as on a number of independent features. She then moved to the U.S. where she spent six years in the physical production department at HBO. Key credits from that time include Game of Thrones, Mildred Pierce and The Newsroom.  She left HBO in 2014 to join MarVista Entertainment where she held the post of VP, Development & Production and Executive Producer in the indie feature department.  Huddleston managed a slate of over 30 movies a year across a wide range of genres and budgets. Now travelling all over the world as an independent producer, she sometimes lives in Hermosa Beach, California with her husband and three kids.
